Breathing new life into the historic home of Abel Conklin's Restaurant, Vitae has brought the sophistication and elegance of a Manhattan restaurant and lounge to the suburbs of Huntington, Long Island.  Setting the scene is our richly designed interior that is, both cool and modern, warm and sensual.  Our dining room provides plush banquette seating for more intimate dining, as well as accommodations for more lively parties... perfect for dining on the beautifully presented wine-friendly continental cuisine of Executive Chef Steve Del Lima.  Dhef's guiding principle of "great ingredients. simply prepared and beautifully presented" is evident in every one of the over 40 dishes at Vitae- from appetizers such as pan-seared Maryland crabcakes with lobster remoulade or our signature crispy beef short rib croquettes with red wine demi and creme fraiche; through entrees of Veal Chop Vitae with Gorgonzola polenta cake, and Porcini mushroom sauce, or Chicken Scarpariello, a breast with sliced hot and sweet sausage, roasted potatoes, cherry peppers and onions - culminating in the delicious sweetness of the signature dessert - trio of creme brulee.

Relax and unwind with one of our specialty cocktails or a glass of wine from among the 25 selections by the glass at our signature 26 foot long honey onyx amber back-lit bar.  Our wine cellar boasts a 1400 bottle inventory that includes over 100 international selections by the bottle certain to please even the most discriminating connoisseur - all on view in our striking floor to ceiling wine room encased in glass.
